A new book by David Levin, out Oct 27, 2026, just in time for the holidays.

I didn't save my marriage.
I didn't want to.
I want to save yours.

I found out I was getting divorced at 50. But somewhere in the middle of starting over, I noticed divorced people learn a set of skills, almost by accident, that married people never know.

Get "Three 2-Minute Habits That Hold a Marriage Together" free, plus book updates & early access.

This isn't a book about whether to leave. It's a book of small, specific habits for people who've decided their marriage is worth the work.

It's backed by real research and a lot of stories I'd rather not have lived through.

Hi, I'm David.

I'm a divorced dad of three, stepdad to one more. Before any of this happened, I spent 22 years running digital and customer experience teams at brands you've shopped at.

I'm not a therapist, and this isn't a clinical book. I'm the guy who learned the skills a few years too late to save my first marriage, and I'm handing them to you now while you still have something to use them on.

I'm also a Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism grad, living in Westport, Connecticut.

Want nudges, not just emails?

I built a Telegram bot that sends one small, specific tool every other day for two weeks, straight from the book. Nothing to buy, nothing to sign up for. Just the stuff I wish someone told me 20 years ago.

I write about this twice a month, too.

Substack's where I go longer. Real stories from married life, before and after, plus stuff that hasn't made it into the book yet. Same voice you're getting here, just more of it.
